The Red Sheep is light brown to a roan looking, not very red, often with a hint of white saddle in males. Males have variabe coat patterns, wheras, females have a more uniform color. Males have heavy ridged horns in an arc angled toward or behind neck. Horns are around 24 to 34 inches in length. Females are usually hornless, however, some can have small short crescents. Males weight around 110 lbs. while femailes weight between 60 to 85 lbs. Red Sheep range on grass and forbs. They favor open undulating terrain. They drink freely. They do not like very cold or hot temperatures. They are gregarious in nature and extremely wary of others. They breed from November to December and their gestation lasts 5 months.
